MG15 was formed in 1982, part of the first wave of hardcore punk  in the early 80’s throughout Southern Europe. Right from the beginning they preferred darker, rawer sounds and lyrics  which has lead people to consider them to be the forerunners of Crust Punk in Spanish language. Their first record “Caos final” (Final Chaos)  came out in 1983 with a surprising raw, dark sound. At that time it went onto the alternative radio stations and fanzines internationally, gaining recognition on the world scene, particularly when the new the publication “Maximum Rock’nRoll “ magazine came out in the USA . After this some of their songs were included in several compilations in USA, Italy, England, Finland etc. In 1984 they recorded the LP “Derecho a la vida” (The right to live), for the Italian label “Attack Punk records”, still considered today as a real classic of the 80’s Punk and which was to be re-edited several times by different European labels over time. That same year they were included in the compilation “World Class Punk” on Roir /USA with 27 groups from 25 countries, which sold over 25,000 copies and in the compilation “Spanish HC” in the UK.

One year later they recorded “Al filo de la horca”.(Close to being hung). In 1987  the LP “Holy earth” was recorded, of which only a limited edition of 330 copies were released, with a darker, more complex style. In 1988 the last record of the original members of the group Ivan, Diego and Miguel,  “El que repta en los caminos”, (he who crawls along the path) was realeased, after which the group split up. In 1994 Ivan included his brother Alberto on the drums and Rafa on the bass guitar and they recorded the LP “Clon” (Clone) on
the Walkiria label, their most “metallic” sound up to date. They gave concerts around Spain, the first concerts for a long time. A few years later, the same label brought out a CD which they co-edited with Alua records called “Clonycore” including all the songs they had recorded until then and which lead to a series of concerts in the South of Spain.

In 2003, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of MG15 the group recorded a new CD  “Piromania” (Pyromania) co-edited by “Throne” and “Alua records”, which reunited the original members of the 80’s group. After this reunion Diego decided to stay in the group with the Jullit brothers and a new phase of MG15 began, characterised by a return to the original raw sound. In 2004 Throne records released an LP format of “Caos final” (final chaos), material that was never effectively distributed before and it ran out very quickly. In 2005,  they brought out “Split con DISCHARGE “ (Split with DISCHARGE) again with Throne records, which received magnificent write-ups. The band went on tour, after which they decided it was once again time to get to work in the recording studio. The result was the much waited for “ALBUM NEGRO”  (BLACK ALBUM), recorded in 2007 for “Alua Records” along with “MG15: LOS SINGLES (1983-2005)” which included all their production except the “CLON + HOLY EARTH”,, which were edited together in the third instalment. In this way all the record collection of MG15, prior to the “ALBUM NEGRO (BLACK ALBUM) is concentrated on 3 albums which will be available permanently.

MG15 has been a reference for many Punk scene followers and for bands around the world, many of which include their own versions of these classics in  their concerts and on their records, some of which can be heard on this website. The fucking kings of noise are back to stay!!
